Why are Daily Mail readers so opinionated?

When I read the Daily Mail I find most of the posters HATE! so much,
I dont think Daily Mail readers think beyond what is written by right wing fundamentalists.
Give your own opinions on this if you are a Mail reader or not.I say or not as I find Mail readers to comment on stories they have not read but do so anyway.
I would be red arrowed for this in the Mail!

In the interests of balance i read, daily, the Mail,Express,DT and FT,they are all biased to some extent and it is useful to gain an insight into what people say in the letters page, many must be a wind up,but hey, what is wrong with at least having an opinion?

I tend to read the independant and i,which i find has good reporters who just report, all the political parties are fair game in their book,so they,in my view, dont side with one political party, also they a more indepth coverage of world news. The daily mail, well i`ve never like it,At work the boss reads it and uses it a bible so to speak, which is very annoying and does result in a lot of unneccessary arguments,i just find it too right wing for my liking and some of the stories are just ridiculously one sided, and for me i wouldnt wipe my derrierre with it.

They're no more opinionated than readers of other newspapers, it's just that the Daily Mail panders to a particular section of society that thinks only their opinions matter.

As if Guardian readers aren't opinionated. though I find Guardian readers hate people whereas Daily Mail readers hate the situations we find ourselves in.

It's a bit of a sweeping statement. Millions of people read it...they can't all be the same.

Yet another pathetic generalisation. DM readers are no more guilty of this than readers of other papers (eg Guardian) but as a popular paper it gets more attacks that others. (And no - I am not a DM reader).

In my wild and misspent youth - like nearly 50 years ago the Mail was a decent newspaper. Nowadays it is really just a comic for adults - or perhaps not even for adults. I can't believe that the journalists can possibly believe the crap they churn out, which means they are fundamentally dishonest.

They like all other newspapers are an information tool .....none are to be trusted but i guess if you're not more to the 'right' then you may find it annoying. Purely for news reports i find the online format the most manageable to read
