UK to end financial aid to India by 2015
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20265583
Given the economic climate should we continue to support other countries in this way?

In the current circumstances I think our resources would be better used "at home". There are a number of areas that need to be addressed, the homeless, student fees, health care , the elderly etc. Countries liek India are now well developed in my opinion and in fact are taking jobs from the UK , for example RBS and Lloyds have large IT data centres in India, a number of companies have call centres there rather than in the UK.

As reported by the BBC - Giving his reaction, India's foreign minister Salman Khurshid said: "Aid is the past and trade is the future."

Ithink with the recession in our country, help should be centered round th UK not any other country

too much money sent abroad when the NHS and education system are vastly underfunded by the government. They should be ashamed of themselves

This sort of aid should have been stopped decades ago, when the benificiary little needed it, but our MPs' were too interested in their own future, not Britains.
" The ageing population in Britain ",
who, the Government claim, are draining our resources, are NOT GUILTY !
That ageing population paid in all their working lives;
That money was , is and will probably will continue to be, misused by Governments to support causes that those contributions were not intended for.

About time too. Now let's stop funding all other foreign nations. Charity begins at home. YNWA
