do you ever take up sport when big events come round like tennis, football or the olmypics?

i dont understand why people play tennis or any sport just because it is shown on tv, when they dont normally play. i never do that as i dont see the point if you are not going to carry on when its finished a couple of weeks later

no i do my own sport, and keep fit, not interested in tennis or football, but anything i decide to do, i do it because i want to, not because of any influence from tv :)

I don't watch sport or follow it in any way - so it has no effect on me

I know the tennis courts at work always used to get really busy around this time of year. Where as I used to be out there on frosty April morning waiting for the ice to melt so we could play - not any more!

I have never felt the urge to take up any sport just because I have watched it on tv.

No I have not. I know lots of little kids do that because it seems exciting and fun to watch these on TV. the kids think someday they will be that good and get to go and be on TV and be a hero for their country. But it usually doesnt last long. the kids get their parents to sign them up and come a few monthes down the line, when they are practicing and practicing and feel wow this is not worth it and then they call it quits. as for adults, they no better and I dont understand why they would waste all their money buying equiptment only to be kept in staorage a couple monthes after they find out it just isnt that much fun.
