As we are all in it together should we share this too?
Closed

The rich got richer over the last year, with the wealthiest 1,000 people in the UK now worth a record £414 billion.

We are told we are all in it together and must all share the debt burden so as the rich have got even richer during the last year, the wealthiest now have a total of £414bn betwen them. Among them are now 77 billionaires (There were 75 in 2011).

We are already sharing the debt, how about sharing some of this too?

Rich should share some of wealth since they're making money off of the middle- and poor-class anyway.

I agree, so many people work hard for their wages and have to struggle to pay the bills. It seems unfair that there is wealth, but then I can't see that it would be shared out...

I guess that would be nice if they shared. But I have always worked hard for what I got and appreciate everything I have.

The Carbon Tax started here in Australia on 1/7 - electricity price to will rise 20%. I know this is necessary but doubt the money will be spent on alternative energy projects.
The rises in costs of basics hits the poor hardest - and with impeccable and insensitive timing - this week the pollies get a whopping pay rise, voted for by both sides of the House months ago. LOLOLOL.
