Any ideas how much a carpet fitter will charge to do a stairway and landing?

I Want to lay a new carpet on my stairs and landing, I have already got a good underlay and grippers down, so it is just a case of laying and cutting the carpet. I am going to buy the carpet online as they are so much cheaper than the shops. I have 13 stairs and a 6 foot by 3 foot landing. Any idea of what I can expect to pay for the work to be done?

We had a carpet fitter in to do ours and he charged £40 i think, but although we called him privately he did work at the place wehre we got the carpet (we bought a remnant) and so he used their cutters to chop it up first

I have no idea I can only suggest that you get a few quotes off people that come recommended by someone you know.
