Just a feel good topic. Have you told someone you love them today? I always tell my husband before I leave in the morning just in case something happened as I would hate not to have said it. I also tend to say it at night as well. Yes it make be sickening but we are just like that and tend to say it all the time. Just wondered if anyone else tells the people who matter that they love them? I think if you lose someone special you tend to be freer at expressing it?
i have to agree with you there lisa, we lost my mom 4 years ago, after a length of her suffering, for most of it my mom wasnt with it, and i never really got the cance to tell her i loved her, which breaks my heart everytime i think of it, so we tend to say it and mean it, i havent seen my hubbie today as he leaves for work at 4.30am, but my little girl who is 22 months, shouted me from her bedroom when she woke up at 9am this morning, saying morning mummy love you!! so naturally i told her i loved her too,
People say that animals give unconditional love, but that's mainly because their owners are their sole source of food, shelter, affection, etc. There is no more rewarding relationship than that between a parent and a child. Despite the inevitable conflict, it's a more rounded relationship and you can't have a sensible conversation with a dog!
Yay - I'm happy! And with every glass of finest reserve merlot imbibed I grow happier and happier, though am only on my second (and sadly final) glass of the evening, believe it or not. Have just spent a very enjoyable two hours watching the supposedly despicable utter drivel that is Big Brother's Friday night live eviction show interspersed with an episode the mildly amusing 8 Out of 10 Cats with a couple of my fave comedians Sean Lock and Lee (punch a burning man) Mack. Sean's brilliant interpretation of a surprised bride being carried off by an eagle then dropped was one of the highlights for me, as was his suggestion that Jimmy Carr looks like he has a pumpkin for a head (so he does! chortle, chortle) So yes, I'm very happy and thanks for asking, and I hope you are too amelia.tp - and 'bgjdge' to you too, dear. I'm sure that must mean something to you at least.
I have always preferred carpet in my lounge as I feel it is a lot comfier and warmer especially in winter and now that prices of fuel are rising so much I think it will be a lot warmer in a house with carpets than laminate. The main advantages to laminate is that children will have more difficulties damaging it and also it will be good for people who have many allergies especially so to dust mites. Children though will not find it as comfy when playing as they often sit on the floors. I am still happy with my carpet though.
