In my opinion you do have to be physically attracted to someone in order for a relationship to work. However a person might have something about them that is not technically about their looks but makes them physically attractive like whether they can dance or not, or whether they dress well, or whether they appear confident or not. Ultimately for me the personality will out I like a girl with a great sense of humour, who is kind and caring yet confident and fun. Though without any attraction to a person, I don't think a relationship would last that long.
