My son has just had to choose his Alevel course as he has decided to stay on for a sixth year starting in september. We know that several of his freinds have had to leave school to try to find work as their parents have lost their jobs , or simply cannot afford further education any more.As my son is quite intelligent for his age he is only15 but has accumulated quite few GCSE's and is taking another load in may on a higher paper,he is the last one at home. So we decided to let him go on with his Alevels ,I am praying we will be able to afford to send him to university,he realises he will have to get a part time job so hopefully we will be able to do this for him, I think that is the worst thing about the times we live in , having to tell a child thats it , leave school and work it is like going back intime.We will find it hard but like I said what on earth are we supposed to do.!
