Hello, I know everyone is probably bored of the word Recession. But living in wales and there just no jobs at all in our area. Wales has had the record uemployment figures so far this year, so this year is going to be rougher than the others it just seems along time struggling and no light at the end of the tunnel. I have been unemployed for a year now and there just isnt any jobs. There is a plus side i have been at home with my little one which i love. How is everyone else coping?

The government is planning a new high speed rail link from London northward at £34billion. Blue line on map. The time from London to Glasgow will be cut from 4 hours 10 minutes, to 2 hours 16.
There are no plans to extend access south of London or to the west country.
If I were to travel by train from Bournemouth to Newquay, the fastest journey is 6 hours 10, and I have to change at Reading. The equivalent coach takes me to Heathrow, then Cornwall.
It strikes me that the world seems to end at London!

Yes definitely, I get so annoyed that people think they can do what they want, when they want no matter who they upset or what the consequences are. For instance on the train home from work last week - 2 teenage lads with a phone playing music very loud (its a small commuter train - only 2 carriages - full of people). After a few minutes someone asked them to turn the music down - which surprise, surprise they did, but the mate said to the one playing the music - why have you done that, its not a quiet coach. Oh so its okay to play music loud and annoy all the other passengers as long as the 2 teenagers are happy! What about the rights of everyone else on the train, do we not count!
