The usual answer to this is turkey, as its traditional. However, after general conversation with friends from different background, everyone seems to have answers for what they and their families eat for xmas/thanksgiving/other celebrations

Last years xmas dinner for me was my family (mum,dad,me,brother) and 2 grandparents. There was a prawn cocktail for starters or a fruit cocktail for those that didnt like it. main course was turkey, though there was a joint of lamb and also a gammon joint. dessert was various things - xmas pudding, ice cream, cake, yoghurt etc - all stuff that can be saved and eaten anytime really.
