I think that a woman has the right to chose how she gives birth but I disagree with them when a woman choses the date (months in advance) like Victoria Beckham so that it fit with a schedule. I understand that people may need to be induced etc but I disagree with choosing a date in that manner. Also, should an elective cesarean (because of choice not need) be done on the NHS?
Let me know what you think. I'd like someone to change my opinion with a good, reasonable anwer!
I wouldn't opt to have a Ceasarean, unfortunately, I ended up having an Emergency Ceasrean when having my daughter.
I think to have a natural birth means going through all the chemical changes your body is meant to go through as the labour progresses with each stage.
If a woman wants to have an elective ceasarean, then that is up to her. As long as the baby is fine then why not?
It seems as if more and more women these days are either choosing to have Cesareans or end up having them, due to problem births as a result of Midwife shortages and mistakes made by their being stressed and over worked. I myself had opted for a natural birth when I was pregnant with my daughter, but ended up having to have an Emergency Cesarean. Have any of you ladies either chosen to or have had to have a cesarean? Or did you choose a natural birth?
