In this case however the word ‘junkie’ is used to express a contradicting notion of the usual connotation of the word. Referring to oneself as a JESUS JUNKIE refers to the joy of knowing our Maker, God and Most High Lord and saviour as a ‘drug’ that will never and can never give ‘a chasing the dragon effect’. Once you experience it, there is no other high that can possibly top that. So why be addicted to a physical substance that provides temporary satisfaction when you can opt to something greater, priceless, and which no drug dealer on earth can guarantee you a greater high from. GIVE JESUS A TRY AND EXPERIENCE THE BEST 'DRUG' ON EARTH...THE JOY IN KNOWING AND CRAVING FOR MORE OF OUR LORD, OUR EVERYTHING...JESUS CHRIST. JJ
When i was younger I used to sing in the school choir. I suppose my voice is quite passable and other people have indeed told me that I do have a decent voice. To be quite honest with you I was always overshadowed as a small child by my eldest sister who had a really beautiful singing voice and she went on to have it trained and she often used to sing professionally as a soprano. One of my sons also used to have a lovely voice and he used to sing at peoples weddings until his voice broke and his voice went with it.
