Hi there, just wondered if anyone knew any trivia about the movies or the stars that they would like to share. Heres some examples -
1. Michael Caine chose his name from a film poster when his agaent pressed him for it while on a public telephone. He liked Michael but saw that The Caine mutiny was on and liked the sound of it.
2. John Wayne was known as The Duke but he got that as a child thanks to his pet dao. People used to say here comes big Duke (the dog) and little Duke (Wayne).
3. Only three films have won 11 oscar. Ben Hur 1959, Titanic 1997 and Lord of the rings-return of the king. But The Lord of the rings is the only film to win the 11 oscars that they were nominated for. Ben Hur was 12 and Titanic 14.
4. In Raiders of the Lost Ark there was supposed to be a major fight scene using swords. But Harrison Ford had a rather upset stomach so couldn't do it. So they changed it for Indy to face the man then he just shoots him after his opponent shows off his sword skills.
5. Tom Selleck was originally going to play Indiana Jones but had to pull out due to committing himself to Magnum.

i used to say it was "the blues brothers" an absolute classic, but since being with my partner, he's converted me into a right geek and i think i would have to say that its either "star wars" or "lord of the rings". great action storys, absolutely love them What about you?

I personally enjoy the darkness comics because i enjoy the storylines and the art is very well done. Also the characters are well created, and seem believable.

The Dark Knight graphic novels were always my favorite - yet I didn't like the original Batman comics. Weird or what?
