I don't have a particular interest in football (or rugby or cricket for that matter). The reason is because i simply don't have an interest in watching people who don't even know how to read (like Wayne Rooney) kick a ball around a field, kick each other, use abusive language against each other and then when one team wins, the supporters of the other team fight the supporters of the winning team and then go on to vandalise the stadium or the town around and get arrested. This is not a sport, it is more of a fight. What annoys me more is that doctors but especially nurses are paid peanuts compared to what footballers get paid. They are not specially qualified - all they do is kick a ball around a field. Yet the money teams pay for players and the players get paid is extortionately high - and then there are all the lucrative side contracts with Nike, Adidas and perfumes - not to mention the 'fame' of the footballer's wives. It make me sick that nurses are poorly paid but footballers can get such high amounts of money for barely doing anything while nurses slug away at the same job and try their best to look after the people of this country. And no, i'm not a nurse, nor do I have any links to a nurse.
I like him a lot, so i would say a definite HIT! i think he is very funny and a very articulate man with a very good brain.Behind the facade there is a glimpse now and then of a person who has deep spiritual beliefs and a very kind man. He has an infectious sense of humour and I particularly like the trademark skinniness and crazed backcombing! I am just disappointed that no one bought me his book for Christmas.
After watching Liverpool play this season and pre season, it is looking good for some major honours this season. They need to be more clincal in front of goal and finish their chances, but boy are they greating chances. Their new signings are starting to gel with the rest of the team, the likes of Babel and Torres are doing well. The steal of the season in my eyes is Voronin on a free transfer, he is just excellent and has taken no time in fitting in. We've had a good start to the season, it would 've been a better one if it wasn't for the mistake by the ref in the Chelsea game. I am so glad he came out and admitted he was wrong to award the penalty, it just shows refs can admit their mistakes and they are human after all.
