Why is it that the government feel that they have the right to give in one hand and take away in the other. They have just decided to reduce down Vat from 17.5% to 15% however have now advised that they will be increasing the amount of tax on a litre of petrol by a further 2p. Surely the people that the government are trying to so called help with the reduction in VAT will actually be hit by the increase in petrol tax. We in the UK pay nearly 75% o the pump price in tax already. Why should we pay more and subsidise the government for the mess that they have created with our economy.
Things are so bad at the moment,i do think that they could have made a cut elsewhere so that the public could see a worthwhile saving in their pockets.I cant see how we will see the difference with this cut.
