This has been asked before, but, I'd like to ask again, I feel this is a worthy question to be asked every so often as the answers and suggestions may change. Personally, I think it would be good if the Master and Doctor somehow swapped bodies, so you had David Tennant playing the Doctor in a wicked way and the Master coming across like the hero. But, as for what I asked origiinally. I reckon James Nesbitt would be an interesting Doctor, maybe a bit too manic and obvious, I know he has got thumbs down in forums. Daniel Radcliffe has been mentioned before and I would be intrigued by an even younger Doctor incarnation. I think they definately should pull Alan Davies into it, as I feel that if he played the Doctor similarly to Jonathon Creek, that would be interesting. He would be similar to a lot of incarnations before him, but he would bring his own weird charm. Ardal O Hanlan might be a good choice, if they wanted to go down the route of the Doctor becoming even more unhinged and confused. Gerard Butler may be too big news now, but what about another all guns blazing incarnation. Haha! Even worse can you imagine if they got Jason Statham or Danny Dyer? Stephen Tomkinson would be way too drippy and not authoritve enough! Mark Walliams would be too obvious, but, Matt Lucas might be a good choice, especialy if he was held down and didn't allow the Doctor to become a Little Britain esque character. What are your thoughts?
Hi mate, I like some of those suggestions, alan davies could be good, reminds me of the old doctor who, the one with a long scarf that always had a bag of sweets (jelly babies if i remember right!)
As for Ardal O Hanlan can I imagine "Dougal" being Doctor Who? Dont see why not could be an intersting change, Im going to chuck in Steve Coogan I think he would make an excellent doctor, he has proved he can play a more serious role in the recent Sunshine - 9'o clock bbc1 tuesdays, dont miss it! They odviously dont mind using comedians after using catherine Tate!
