My wife works at the moment for Woolworths and people have been coming instore saying they cannt close Woolies and then by telling her about their memories of Woolies as child, we are not just talking of the old generation but the young generation too. Was it the "wonder of woolies" for you as a child??
A close friend of mine is in relationship with a man, who is married and with two teenage kids. His marriage from the beginnig has been only a "paper marriage" and everybody knows that he doesn't love his wife. My friend is blindly in love with him and doesn't push him to get divorced. He also claims that she's the only love of his life, however doesn't want to separate with the wife, as he's too grateful to her for financially supporting him for all these years and wants to avoid hurting her. This has been going on for 8 years now and the situation doesn't seem to change. The man is waiting for his wife to find out by herself about his relationship with the young woman (she must be suspecting something already, otherwise she would be really blind ad naive) and to divorce him (which in my opinion she will never do), and my friend stays with him faithfully, believing that one day they will create a real home and family together. I'm already fed up with the vision of my friend wasting her best years of life with a man, who can't be fully with her. I know that she's not trully happy in this relationship, but she doesn't do anything to change it. And she wouldn't listen to any advices from me nor her family. It's him, who should make up his mind, make the decision and confess to his wife and kids and let them know that he's in relationship with another woman (whom he really loves, as he says). My friend is a wonderful young woman, who deserves to be with somebody who will kiss her goodnight every night and spend all the Christmas and family celebrations together with her... What do you think about it? Do you know somebody who was in similar situation and how has it all finished?
With Christmas shopping coming up post your shopping horror stories here! I've had a few but can't think of one that stands out. Generally along the lines of lots of waiting & then waiting for them to find the thing you want & then they haven't got it & you go away empty handed & cross.
