I think that it is disgusting that an ex husband or wife can end up with tens of millions of pounds of their ex partner's money even though they did absolutely nothing to earn it. It is their partner who did all the work for all those years; it is the partner who had the talent; it is the partner who wokrd day in day out in order to achieve and struggle to be successful and it is a travesy that the ex spouse can walk away loaded when they did nothing to earn that money. Of course, many wives who get a comfortable settlement have spent many years working hard as house wives and working hard bringing up the children -- but many wives do not do this. Many husbands or wives have servants or butlers waiting on the hand and foot and nannies to bring up their children. This is when it is disgusting that they walk away more loaded with cash than they deserve -- the gold-diggers and the ladies who nothing but shop and lunch. Poor husbands. They have studied and struggled and worked just to have a court take it off them when they get divorced. This is just not right. There should be some kind of limit on how much an ex partner can get no matter how much the other partner is worth.
Well im thinking about getting it done, as I am getting annoyed with having to always use my contacts and glasses, and would love to not have the hassel of either.
I only wear glasses for computer and reading so would not consider it. Two of my friends have done it and have said its the best thing they ever did. Its expensive but pays off in the long run.
Depends what you want: relaxation, culture, good food, nightlife, history. I really like visiting York. It has the Jorvik centre for a Viking settlement experience, the walls to walk around, the city museum, the Minster, shops, Clifford's Tower. You can go on a boat down the river. The Yorkshire countryside is within reach. There is also an excellent railway museum if you like looking at old trains. A great place to keep kids busy. Everything is within walking distance of the centre so as long as the weather is good you can just amble about.
