Lets hear about which films make you weepy/ teary! The one that really does it for me everytime is The Notebook, its so sad but in a happy nice way and its so beautifully made it really does have an effect! Another one which does it is, The Titanic just simply for the thought that it is a true story and actually happened. I think alot of these films use real life situations to grab the attention of the audience as people know these things can actually happen. So which ones make you emotional??
I do not really have a single favourite film, but if I was forced to choose one at gunpoint I would say “Aliens”, it is a perfect mix of action, horror and sci-fi, my three favourite film categories. I love the entire Alien franchise, but Aliens sticks out as the best one in the series. My least favourite? Well, there are many many terrible films that I have seen in my life, but the most recent would be Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, an abysmal sequel that is 20 years too late and basically just a poor remake.
10 - Pulp Fiction (1994) 9 - Donnie Darko (2001) 8 - City of God (2002) 7 - American History X (1998) 6 - Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2003) 5 - Goodfellas (1990) 4 - Forest Gump (1994) 3 - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) 2 - It's a Wonderful Life (1946) 1 - Shawshank Redemption (1994)
This sort of question always has me puzzled - 'what's your best this, what's your favourite that' - as I don't HAVE one best or overall favourite anything above all others. Think there are so many brilliants films, books, songs etc to ever choose one best one out of any of them. But anyway, rant over. One of my fave films is Blade Runner made in 1982 and starring Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer. It's one of the ground-breaking science fiction films, although it doesn't rely entirely on special effects but those that are used look more natural and not so clearly computer generated as in more recent films. It's atmospheric, multi-layered and visually stunning with a great plot.
