Call me a prude or old fashioned, im only 38 by the way, but i thought school was a place for learning, not a bloody fashion show, i've had many disagreements with my wife over this, im not that much of an augur, i dont mind maybe a small amount put on a evening out or a little bit after school, but she looks more like, shes off to a fashion shoot than school, i feel shes so pretty she doesnt need it, but i would say that im her father, but the only responce i ever seem to get from my wife, its only a small amount and all her friends are doing it, so leave her alone, but its not just the make up you can see the way she starting to dress for school with the silly way they do there ties, the way she doing her hair, and what they want to were to school, i dont want to come across, that i lock my kids in the cellar, and i'm a bad man, but where do we go from here, first its make up and then what bloody next, because all her friend are doing it. maybe i'm just getting old and should shut up, and let her get on with it, my baby is no longer a baby and is growing up in to a very fine young lady, and i should just except it, what do you guys think
The use of make-up is forbidden at the schools locally. I think this a good idea personally.
I know that girls start to experiment at that age, but when and how often they use make up should be limited at such an age.
My daughter wears nail varnish now and again for parties, but once it's back to school she isn't allowed to, and off it comes. She doesn't ask to wear make up at the moment which is great! She understands that make up isn't important for looking good.
I have taught her about healthy eating etc, as it effects the skin, and she has taken this on board. She loves face paints, but that's as far as it goes at the moment.
I feel i need to wear face makeup whenever i go out. Well, for when i am lazing around town or school, gets less sometimes none. But (like now) have run out completely of foundation, so am finding it OK! Not stressed and feel a bit more confident. Im only 16, what do you think about makeup and the "over-use" of it?
