Best album he ever made: Madman Across The Water. The title track, along with Levon, Tiny Dancer, and Holiday Inn, are all classics! Other great albums he's done: Empty Sky, Elton John, Too Low For Zero, Captain Fantastic, Blue Moves, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, The One, Don't Shoot Me.
Doesn't have the same ring about it as Elton John, does it? Was a big Elton fan and had loads of albums, almost all of them up till the Blue Moves double album - didn't buy any after that, think he went downhill a bit after Bernie Taupin stopped writing the lyrics. Yes, Madman's a great album, so too's Tumbleweed Connection with Amoreena, Love Song and Come Down In Time (one of my faves). Also loved the Honky Chateau album with Mellow, Rocket Man and my fave off that album Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters. His second album, Elton John, had the song yowzer mentioned on it written about Bernie's birth as seen through the eyes of his older brother (The Greatest Discovery) and my fave off that one is I Need You To Turn To.
