I had a great holiday a few years back in Bulgaria. The people were so friendly, the weather was fantastic and there was so much to do.
Another fantastic holiday was me and Mrs K in Rome. The first Wednesday was our 30th wedding anniversary, so we went to the Vatican, and joined in the audience with the Pope (John Paul 2); we were ushered along a line of people, and eventually in front of JP, who gave his blessing. Wow! We both thought he looked unwell, though, but what a day! And the rest of Rome to explore.
Dominican Republic, fantastic, always enjoyed France.
But Eire took a lot of beating. Mrs K was amazed how friendly the people were. Pace of life is fantastic, so it has quite a place with us.
The 4th November 2008 marked the election of Barack Obama to the White House and to the President of the United States of America. Whether you followed the election campaign or not the date is a part of history. The first mixed-race person to be elected president and represent one of the greatest powers in the world, Obama has incarnated a number of hopes of a country in a huge economic crisis. The hard tasks now lie ahead for the future president.
What is your reaction to the election? Would you change something? Do you think that one man can make a difference?
