When I heard this, I had to check the date. No, it is not April the first. It doesnt appear to be a joke, it's true.

Rick Astley??? Has there never been a better act than him?? Where do we start? The obvious choices, like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Johnny Cash, Tina Turner, Eva Cassidy, Bonny Tyler, I could go on for weeks, just typing names, without ever having to stop for a reason.

I do recall, though, that there was a time when Colonel Tom Parker (yes, Elvis Presley's manager) once said that Rick Astley could be big and he would like to manage him, but come on. Around a dozen chart entries, less than a hundred weeks on the charts, even with all the hype at the time. It just shows you don't have to be great to be puton a pedestal!
