this was such a sad film. the use of the girl in the little red coat when the rest of the film was in black and white was really poignant. i think it is very important to remember pieces of history like this and these days the only way of bringing things to the attention of the public is through film. its great to be able to look back and see that while all the horrific events of the second world war were taking place that there were little moments of extreme charity if you like and the film documents this beautifully. especially after all hes when schindler breaks down at the end because he could have saved more jews. this was a fanatstic film that brought the story of shindler to life far better than i felt the book did.
This has got to be the ultimate feel good christmas film. It isnt all fun and laughter though. The film does deal with cheating and deception too. But overall if you want to believe that love is all around this may be the film for you.
With a wonderful ensembale cast of actors and actresses from all over the world there is bound to be someone in it that you know.
From a sexy young PM to a lowly sandwich delivery boy it shows that everyone is subject to matters of the heart. It also shows that language is not a barrier in the matters of the heart.
It deals with unrequieted love and it wrong lust and manipulation. Possibly the sweetest part of the film is the teen love and how even that works.
This is a film that you can watch over and over and get something from it everytime.
I think this has to be one of my top ten girly films that never fails to put a smile on my face. Can relate to most of the characters or they remind you of someone you know - even if you don't want to admit it! Great cast, sweet storyline and fab ending. We need more Mr Grant films, cant beet the cheese! In all it is a very well wrote script, in my humbile opinion and a classic english humour to it. Makes you laugh - the octopus costume and the shopping assistant 'this is so muich more than a bag!' - and cry - the affairs, the heartbroken, the new loves found. FABULOUS.
Mine would be the new Liam Neeson Film, "Taken". Really good, as it's not cheesy and you would normally expect Liam Neeson to be casted as an action hero.
