I watched 'Lost in Austen' last night on ITV1 and realised again just how much I love the book 'Pride And Prejudice,' and just how very clever it is. It really has amazing depth of insight into human characteristics [good and bad], and is also funny, witty, and sad, and very romantic. I really recommend this book to all. If you have not read it, and are not used to what can be an 'older' kind of language, don't worry, take the first few pages slowly and you'll soon get used to it, and begin to enjoy it. I have the BBC series of it on DVD and I really recommend that too - excellent.
I love other 'Austen' books too, - 'Sense And Sensibility' next - but also have a wide taste in reading. How about you?
