I don't know about the rest of you women, but I have always made it a bit of a point to use up foods as I can so that they stay fresh and safe. I'm not one to dwell on sell-by dates, or use-by dates, but I do think some common sense is necessary. Since I am now incapacitated by a broken leg, hubby is doing the meals and today he mentioned we were having sausage sandwiches. Fine, says I. They aren't my favourites, but beggars shouldn't complain, lest they go hungry. So I got my sandwich and, to be honest, it didn't taste right. Then hubby comes in with his, has a bite, and says it all tastes funny. Then he adds that he thought the sausages smelled off when he was cooking them. Am I missing something? Who in their right mind cooks dodgy sausages and then serves them up? I'm just wondering if the few bites I had are enough to make me ill. Only time will tell. Did your significant other ever do that sort of thing to you?

I do, as I feel thats its the one day of the week that we can all sit down together and enjoy a meal together. Also its the one time when I am not cooking 3 diferent meals for everyone but we all eat the same thing! We do tend to eat it around 8 o clock though, so we can do what we want during the day and its is nearly always chicken ( and occasionally pork ) as thats my childrens favourite!

I used to love my birthday as a kid but im 24 now and its scary to think im 25 this year..oh my god im 30 in 5 years time..that's scary! I never thought I would be worried about growing old but over the last two years I've been thinking about it alot and it does scare me. How about you? Do you celebrate getting older?
