I ask this as I am going to see Celine Dion in concert in May, and it looks as if I have got the opportunity to meet her, before the show. I am so excited. I found out this morning. I cannot believe that I am going to meet my idol, the superstar who I have looked up to for 15 years and listened to her music every day.Part of me still cant believe it is true and so my brain is telling me not to get too excited as it may not come to fruition, but I still cant help hoping. Will definitely find out for sure 2 weeks before the concert. Have you ever met someone famous and were they everything you thought they would be ?

This has already been posted twice, and first time I gave my favourite work of fiction, and second time, my favourite non fiction. So this time, I will say my fave children's book. Cannot mention kids' books without mentioning the fab William books - marvellous fun for kids AND grown ups!!Also, anything by Enid Blyton ! I loved ALL her books. Loved the Nancy Drew, Bobsy Twins and Sue Barton books and the Wells books about Sadlers Wells ballet school...anyone remember any of them? Reading with my daughter when she was small, we loved a book about Shirley Rat, a very nosey character, and the illustrations were great....also Brambly Hedge stories, again, fab illustrations.
Fatherland by Robert Harris: It's an Alternative History story set after the Nazi's WIN WW2. The story begins in Nazi Germany, the Third Reich in April 1964, in the week leading up to Adolf Hitler's 75th birthday. The plot follows detective Xavier March, an investigator working for the Kripo (Kriminalpolizei), as he investigates the suspicious death of a high-ranking Nazi (Josef Bühler) in the Havel, on the outskirts of Berlin. As March uncovers more details he realises that he is caught up in a political scandal involving senior Nazi party officials, who are apparently being systematically murdered under staged circumstances. There was a movie made of it in the 80's.
If you could clone yourself, would you do it as an alternative to having kids or would you think that you would end up with another result like Rimmer did whe nhe tried it?
