As a nurse I am sick of people complaining about the health service. I hate how the media always focuses on the negative from super-bugs to vermin on wards, but never highlights any of the positives. I worry that all this negative press makes people scared to go into hospital for necessary treatment, and their anxiety makes the whole recovery process longer. Yes, there are problems, but I think the same problems would arise in privately owned hospitals too and I think that private health care would only serve to make things worse for those on low income.
i believe they are around us sometimes! i have been to a spiritulist church several times but never been spoken to :-( but the things they say to other ppl are great! its amazin how they do it!
i'd rather find true love because then me and my partner could set up a successful business as so many people have done and make a million (or more) and id end up with both. am i living the dream?
what do other members think of the rise in fuel costs The AA’s Fuel Price Report for mid-December shows average UK petrol prices have reached 102.81 pence per litre, up 1.3 pence on last month, and diesel 107.95, up 2.51 pence. Motorists have already been hit by the Chancellor's fuel duty increase of 2p a litre on October 1 and it will rise again in April 2008 and 2009. for what ever reason the goverment give us for each rise ie the terrorists the wanting to help our enviroment yet the goverment still make infact over 60 percent of fuel costs goes to the goverment The Treasury expects to make nearly £25billion from fuel duties this year – more than the combined total from inheritance tax, capital gains tax and stamp duty it will go up yet again with increases of another 2p in April 2008 and 1.84p in 2009 which were announced by Gordon Brown earlier this year when he was Chancellor where will fuel taxs stop or maybe the public need to stand together and stop this over priced fuel
The price we pay at the pump in the UK is absolutely scandallous! Consider this - every litre of fuel is taxed TWICE... FIRST there's 48.3P of fuel tax, then there's an additional 17.5% VAT stuck on top. And they want to introduce road pricing on top of all that?! As for the road fund license on top every year, determined by engine size & emissions - THAT's a rip off, too!! OK, so people who drive big "gas guzzlers" ought pay more - but, then, they ALREADY DO because their vehicles don't do as many miles to the gallon! I'd LOVE to know what happened to diesel being cheaper than petrol, too!!!!
