Last week, we were sitting at home, thinking Ah! winter's coming. Thank heaven we have a nice warm house. Then a couple of days later, we were shivering. The damned central heating stopped working. I checked everything, reprogrammed the control - nothing. Then I heard a buzz from the regulator valve. It isn't switching between hot water and heating. Damn you!
Called our friendly heating man, he'd gone out of business. Called a new guy, recommended by three of our friends, he confirmed the problem, and the part is going to take a week to get here! Arggghhhhh! The company that made our system has switched manufacture to China. We were told by the suppliers that because of the credit crisis, they were cutting back on stocks, so they didn't have capital sitting in warehouses, and they could close premises.
