A variation on the "what car do you have?" question.
I have a silver coloured Dawes Mojave that I bought in autumn 07. I've done about 2000 miles on it since then. I had to have a new rear wheel after six months as the first one buckled, but apart from that I've had no real problems with it.
It came with rear pannier rack and mudguards and I've fitted an under-saddle bag for basic tools, puncture kit, etc. and a bike stand. I've fitted two water bottle cages so that I can carry enough water on longer trips (that's in addition to the water bottle pouches on each pannier).
I need to get myself some better front lights now that it's dark so early and I'm toying with the idea of a sat nav for touring.
The Mother-in-Law is heading there for Xmas and asked me yesterday what do I want her to buy us. Now I know she is a shopaholic so I would be just helpin her out giving her a list ;-) so I was wondering what is good to purchase over there?. The only thing I can think of at the moment is jeans for the four kids.
If so, what is it, what colour is it, how old is it, how many miles has it done, and how long do you intend to keep it? Mine's a Seat Ibiza, black (with mud option), five years old, 90,000 miles on the clock, and probably another year or two before it gets changed.
