I use energy saving bulbs, recycle as much as possible, create my own compost, make sure I and everyone in my household switch off and unplug anything they're not using and I also cycle to work now to cut down on my carbon footprint. What are you doing? Any tips for me are welcome!
I shop in my local Co-Op and recently they introduced the first compostable bag. It biodegrades in the same time as potato peelings and can be put in compost bins at home. Every time i have been in there since they had these new bags i have paid 6p for one knowing that i may be doing that little bit extra for the environment. I am frequently told by the cashiers that i am the ONLY person why buys these bags. I think that this is an easy way we can all do a bit in reducing our plastic bag consumption but not many people seem to be doing it. Do you buy environmentally friendly carrier bags and if not, why not?
