I don't personally believe in God, but assuming that he does exist and you got to ask one question of him before entering Heaven, what would be that one question? It is a quite a tricky thought, as you really would not want to waste such a fantastic opportunity to find out the truth behind the universe great mysteries. I think being an atheist I would have to ask:
Why do you let people suffer and die in wars about whose religion is the right one?
There masybe freedom of speech , but most people are too scared to be honest, incase they are labelled as racist, homophobic, sexist etc etc. So in that sense we do not have freedom of speech, we feel we are not allowed to have opinions or express our views. The country has gone politically correct mad! The government are so set on being the fairest most politically correct country they have forgotten the values England always held dear. I am not racist or homophobic, but we ARE overcrowded and i don't agree with buggery either. Same sex love is not the problem. My mum is of an age when racism etc was a common occurance, yet she is not worried about a persons colour. The other day she was speaking to a friend who made a valid point. He said. The Irish are allowed to be irish, the Welsh allowed to be Welsh and the Scots allowed to be Scottish, but the English are not allowed to be English. I know so many of you out there will be screaming at the monitor cussing me, but there are more people that believe that than not!
There is freedom of speech, but that freedom does come with a few exceptions. The preaching of hate and terror is illegal as it could incite violence and murder, but aside from those exceptions you are free to say what you like. Some people in the UK often claim that we do not have freedom of speech, but they should try going to countries like China before talking such crap, in that country you can be arrested and never seen again for speaking out against the government, something we can happily do on a daily basis, in fact we have quiz shows based entirely on that freedom.
Motorways, particularly around cities, are very slow moving. This is often made worse by drivers not using lanes correctly, ie for overtaking. Many drivers just meander down the middle lane or take squatters rights on the outside lane. Both these types of drivers are at the least annoying and at worst dangerous. What do others think?
yes the trouble seems to be that there is no proper instruction on driving on the motorways in the test. So many people seem to think that it is ok to just keep in the middle lane and let everyone else drive round them. Years ago my aunt went on a journey using the motorway and said, its not problem really easy, you just get in the middle lane and drive, no problem. I think this attitude still exists ande people do not realise they are at fault. I think it well overdue to incorporate motorway driving in the driving test so people can understand the rules. It seems really silly that in todays driving that you can pass a test and have never driven on the motorway. I think you should pass your test, and then have an additional test foir the motorway.
