I do not like people who stereotype others. It winds me up that people can't see past a generalised view which is usually false and sometimes offensive. I also small things like people who will cross the road where they are, causing a disturbance, when there is a specific crossing down the path.
On Toluna, I really don't like it that people do not rate the opinion. We are all happy to say what we think and like to say whether other peoples opinions are useful or not but we won't rate the opinion in general. It is simple to just click the stars, please do it.
Parents that will not accept that their offspring are anything, but little angels. I was in sainsburys and there where 2 little brats running around knocking into people and screeching at the top of their lungs. Someone got knocked twice by these little brats and so as a result asked the mother to please keep her children under control.
You would have thought she had been asked to hand her 2 kids over for sacrifice the way she carried on and in the end the woman ended up just walking away with the mother following her around the store mouthing off.
Unlike most of the war movies of our time, Black Hawk Down sticks to the facts about what happened in Mogadishu and doesn't romanticize the story. To support this observation, the viewer will notice that there is not really one main character. This shows that the film focuses more on what happened in Somalia instead of on the characters personality and/or struggles. Another important aspect of the film that makes it so great is the cinematography. Not only was the setting of the film accurate to the real thing, but the way that the movie was filmed is great because it seems like someone is running along the battle scene getting everything on tape. In addition, the film contains small aspects that one may not notice that are important to the situation in Mogadishu. For instance, the bullet shells that fell from the firing helicopter fell into one of the soldiers' vests, and he scrambled to get it out because of how hot it was. This small detail makes the movie that much more realistic. To conclude, Black Hawk Down is a great movie that is both an eye opener that sticks to the facts as well as a quality film. I recommend this movie to any war-film fan, as well as anyone that likes watching movies in general.
Ewan has been a favourite of mine for a couple of years now. My attitude towards him as an actor (and a man) changed after watching the Long Way Round. In a nutshell Ewan and his friend Charlie go around the world on their bikes! How cool is that? As a lady biker myself i totally loved the idea and bought their DVD which is absolutely amazing as it shows how different and similar the world we live in is! I strongly recommend it as it shows the true grounded-personality of a real superstar! Ever since I got so passionate with Ewan's work as he is such a rock n' roll guy with real free spirit. Don't miss it!!! xxx
