Being a student, naturally I think they should. Although at the same time I don't think it's fair that tax payers with no intention of going into higher education should pay for other people to. I think as a middle ground fees should at least be reduced (at the moment they're roughly £3500 per year and most courses last 3 years or more). What's your opinion?

Me refiero a que como hay crisis todo lo que sea no buscar soluciones es una cortina de humo segun algunos. Al haber crisis ya no se pueden crear o modificar las leyes???? Al haber crisis no se debe estar pendiente de la educacion?? de las relaciones con el exterior??? todo esto es una cortina de humo???? o simplemente se intenta que la crisis no paralice el resto de actuaciones para con el pais????? Agradeceria vuestra opinon, sea o no parecida a la mia.

Capable du pire, Dati est bien partie pour suivre le triste exemple de Marie-Ségolène Royal : en 1992, ministre de l’environnement sous Béré, Royal avait livré depuis sa chambre d’hôpital la naissance de son quatrième enfant à la presse pipeule (Paris-Match) et aux caméras d’antenne 2. Loin de montrer l’exemple, elle avait déclaré suspendre ses fonctions seulement quelques jours, remettant ainsi en cause un droit social essentiel pour de nombreuses femmes : le nécessaire congé de maternité. Cela suffit-il pour qu’ils n’aient pas peur d’encourir six mois d´emprisonnement et 7 500 euros d’amende selon l´article 434-25 du code pénal pour avoir cherché à jeter le discrédit et porté atteinte à l’autorité et l’indépendance de la Justice ? Auraient-ils déjà rayé cet article d’un trait de plume ?

The credit crunch and rising cost of living is really beginning to - The credit crunch and rising cost of living is really beginning to hit me now! I have seen the spare cash in my pocket getting less and less with each passing month, and that is with being a non-smoking pedestrian! If things carry on as they are, I’ll be living hand to mouth by the end of the year. Already this year I have decided not to go on holiday this year and started to budget for a lean Christmas, setting a maximum spending limit for each person. 2009 is going to be the darkest year for many, and I don’t see a light at the end for many years.

The constant Goverment & Media bullying attitudes are causing the genuine long term sick /disabled immense distress.Those who 'look ok' but who have changeable conditions that vary day to day/hour to hour week to week are already house/bedbound many hours & are now afraid to have any life quality outside the front door for fear of accusations.

I was asked this once and I was intrigued at myself to find that I was torn between both sides. The more I thought about it the more I got torn. If the patient had NO influence on their decision then I thought it was ok. However isn't it just suicide if they do decide to go through with it? Then I started thinking about that part and thought to myself: Does suicide always have to be a bad thing; can it be acceptable if there's a credible reason for it? I don't know. It's such a complex yet strange topic. How on Earth could they get someone to be the person to 'kill' this person who wanted to be killed. How would you feel?

I fully support the idea of legalising euthanasia in the United - I fully support the idea of legalising euthanasia in the United Kingdom. There are many people forced to suffer in agony with no hope of coming through their condition, and they face a bleak and terrifying death at the end of it. I knew an old lady, who literally choked to death over the course of three days, yet the doctors had to keep making her comfortable and extending her miserable last hours gasping for breath, she begged the doctors to kill her, but because of ridiculous UK laws they were powerless to help. Why do we let people suffer and humanely destroy our pets?

Ich bin zwar nicht von Harz 4 betroffen, aber mir geht die Diskussion langsam auf die Nerven. Wie ich heute wieder lese in der Bild, da werden vergleiche gemacht mit Berufen wo man weniger Verdient wie eine Harz 4 Familie mit 4 Personen. Was ist das für ein Vergleich? Oder der Staat sagt die Leute sollen für Ihre Rente vorsorgen (Riester), aber für Versicherungen sind im Monat nur 1 € vorgesehen Riester kostet aber 5 € mindestens und was ist mit den anderen Versicherungen? Das waren Nur ein paar Beispiele von vielen. Ich finde die Diskussion einfach nur Beschämend Was sagt Ihr dazu. Karsten Rößler

Should we treat our elderly better in this country, show them the respect they deserve? Or do you think they are being treated well enough? In some cultures, elderly relatives are revered and viewed with a sense of awe for their wisdom in old age. In the UK, pensioners are often forced into poverty by minute state allowances and crippling food and fuel bills, and some pensioners can go for a year without hearing from relatives only to receive a card at christmas. I used to live next door to my grandparents, and they always said how lucky they felt compared to their friends of a similar age, as they got to see their grandchildren pretty much every day instead of once or twice a year.

I do agree it is very sad when the elderly are left alone and nobody cares about the,. My grandparents I used to work not far from them and used to pop in most days on my way home from work, or my Nan would ring and ask me to pick up bits and pieces for her they have passed away some years now. My parents and my in laws are a big part of my sons life. My mother and father in law have my son every Saturday for me so that I can go to work, and they love their time with him as their other grandchildren which they adore live so far away that they only get to see them a few times a year. With my mum and dad my son also sees them at least once a week as they will just pick my son up from school and take him out for a treat etc. When they all get older I have already told my husband that whatever hapens I will not let his parents or my parents go into a home unless it was in their best intrest, I will look after them full time.

alors moi personnellement, je m'en fiche - alors moi personnellement, je m'en fiche. Cela fait partie de sa vie privée, et je me moque bien des relations qu'elle peut avoir avec quiconque. ça fait marcher les médias, c'est sûr, ça fait vivre la presse à scandales... c'est sûr également. Mais qui est capable à côté de ça de citer une ou deux actions précise de cette ministre. là toutde suite, il y a moins de bruit. Les gens feraient bien mieux de s'intéresser à la politique pour la politique, et non pour le côté people de la chose...

with energy prices going way to high and not earning to much to meet those demands, how do you see the future? having a new goverment we believed in new light being shed on us, not just financially but for the future too. Since labour government came into force all i have seen is this country going from riches to rags. ok so we had some hope in Mr Tony Blair, but Gorden Brown is going to drag us down with him. I have been a member of the labour party since the first time i started voting, and now seriously considering giving another party a chance, any suggesstions?

Personally, I think the law has been abused by so many individuals and groups for their own needs and purposes that it is no longer a workable law and should be scrapped altogether and individual governments create a law suitable to their own country

I am a law student and to be completely honest, I think there are far too many laws. One law is made and then another is made to cover the loop holes, and if a law has flaws they don't bother to get rid of it. But mainly I think that some of the laws we have are completely pointless and useless, considering people don't enforce them, and people just ignore them all together, it just annoys me that there are all these laws that you can be prosecuted for breaking, but everyone knows they're useless.
