My hubby is dieting yet again and yes he does usualy lose the weight but is very crabit and ends up putting the weight back on I keep telling him it is better to eat healthy and it will stay off what do you think ?

I am losing weight at the moment - the best thing to do is not to - I am losing weight at the moment - the best thing to do is not to see it as a diet, but see it as just changing what you eat, to healthier options! For example, buying low fat cheese instead of normal cheese. This makes losing weight easier, and keeps the weight off long term, instead of putting it all back on again!

Hi there I currently have a gas oven, and love cooking on it, as it is instant heat. Its much better than the electric oven I used to have. What are your views?

I have suddenly realised that we dont eat Turkey at any other time than xmas. I dont know why not as it can be a tasty dish if cooked properly. What do you think?

I don't know why i thought of this question but will ask it anyway lol! What do you use sugar for? I know alot of sugar is bad for you but i always like to have some at home. I sometimes put some on my cereal..which defeats the healthy eating part of it. I sometimes sprinkle some on fruit mainly melon, pancakes, hot chocolate etc. I also of course use caster sugar if i am baking any cakes. So what do you use sugar for? x

sugar is really bad for us, and god its so bad for me, as i already - sugar is really bad for us, and god its so bad for me, as i already have bad teeth and sugar keeps making it worse, so what i have done is gone onto sweetner instead, yes it might be a little more expensive, however it is better for you, it is much sweeter than sugar anyways. and i put it on pancakes, tea, cereal, cakes. not hot choclate tho, i dont do that. sugar is lovely tho on most things. i also use it for if a am baking but my favourite thing to use with sugar is pancakes. it tastes lovely.

No not Mothering Sunday chocolates, I still have two boxes which were christmas presents. Part of me hates having to open a new box, but another part doesn't really want them. Help me out here please. They are thorntons but not continentals.

We have an aeropress, it gets used every day and my OH loves it - We have an aeropress, it gets used every day and my OH loves it. He tells me it makes excellent coffee and it is so easy! Worth a look if you like Americano or Espresso type coffees.

My daughter has always loved the Sausage and Bean pasty from Greggs the Bakers, she could not go past without going in to buy one. They were her favourite. Now they have an added ingredient, Cheese. My daughter is so disappointed as she does not tolerate dairy products to well, and they were the onlly pasty she would eat. Have you tried these? If so what do you think of them? Do you know any bakers that just do a sausage and bean one, or am I going tohave to start baking them and freezing a supply for her? Any input would be appreciated xx Lin

No I have never tried them we don't eat many pastry things we may - No I have never tried them we don't eat many pastry things we may have the odd steak pie every now and again but I tend to make them with just a pastry top.

Does anyone still buy spam,in fact can you still buy it ?

I haven't had spam for years not since I was a child - I haven't had spam for years not since I was a child. My Mum bought it because it was cheap and she couldn't always afford other meats. I remember the fish shop used to make spam fritters and they were very nice even if they weren't good for you.

I really enjoy baking - mostly cakes. Does anyone else bake their own or do you just buy them? and what do you prefer to bake?

I love to bake, and when I get my leg back working one of the first - I love to bake, and when I get my leg back working one of the first things I'm going to do is make a huge tray of walnut brownies. It's an American thing, perhaps, but I go through withdrawal when I don't get brownies once in awhile, and they have to have lots of nuts.

I eat most things but have a real thing for pineapples. I cannot stand even the smell of them it makes me feel sick. I can drink Lilt or eat completely liquidised sweet and sour sauce but thats all. I just hate everything about them. The texture in my mouth, the taste, the smell and even the thought of them turns my stomach. Im not allergic but at school i used to tell them i was so i didn't have to touch them in food technology!
