In these modern times of everyone having access to computers and the web I just wondered if people prefer getting a quick e-mail that can be read, actioned and deleted or do you prefer the excitement of an actual real live letter dropping through the letterbox? I do like e-mails but they can be a tad annoying what with all the endless "not funny" forwards that people send on and the spam that can fill up your inbox just like that. Sometimes it is nice to get a nice letter from someone you like and care about, kick back on the sofa with your feet up and read (although sometimes people's writing can be a problem LOL!). Please enlighten me with your very worthy opinions on the matter. Typing is obvioulsy accepted in this situation!!!

I much prefer to get a handwritten letter although with some of my - I much prefer to get a handwritten letter although with some of my elderly relatives it is becoming a bit of a game to actually try and decypher their handwriting. I do like email from the point of view that its quick and easy and I find it a lot less painful to type out 3 pages on the email then I what I do to have to handwrite about 20 pages normally. I send letters to a couple of friends just because they enjoy getting something through their mail box that isn't a bill and also for the older relatives who don't have computers and therefore that I can't email regardless. I do think its a dying art though sadly.

How many times are you having so mch fun making polls and giving your opinion here on Toluna that you either completely lose track of time or do not want to log off. Sometimes I have just finished answering one more topic when I look at the home page and someone has just put up another interesting topic that I absolutely have to answer. Does this happen to lots of you. As I write this opinion I realise that I have another entirely differnt problem, YES - I am addicted to giving my opinion and answering polls!! How could I not see that that was actually what the problem was all along! Right I must sign off right now - another hour has flown by.

I am thinking there are probably enough people to make up a 'Toluna - I am thinking there are probably enough people to make up a 'Toluna Opinons And Poster Addict' group!? I have been at home today after working silly hours again and have popped out a couple of times, only to come back and see whats going on. I try, oh I try to stay away! Os pasa tambien , no puedo contestar opiniones , se borran y ni cortando y pegando hay veces que lo consigo he llegado a pegar mas de 10 veces una respuesta y ni por esas La pagina va muy lenta es desesperante , me pasa solo a mi ? ¿esculpa de mi ordenador?

No eres tu solo - No eres tu solo. A mi esta mañana me pasaba lo mismo, por mucho que lo intentaba no conseguia poner ni una sola opinión, además la página tarda una eternidad en cargarse. Sólo te puedo decirte que a mí después de un buen rato han comenzado a funcionarme las opiniones aunque la pagina se sigue tardando mucho en cargar. Espero que se solucione pronto.

Estamos hablando mucho de este tema en las opiniones, por esa razón he pensado que podríamos probar si de verdad dan puntos por dejar opiniones largas. Os ruego que de verdad dejéis una opinión, el tema es libre, recordar las redacciones del colegio o tomároslo como un ejercicio. Hablad de algo que os gusta o disgusta, de vuestro fin de semana, del último sueño que recordáis, de la trama de un libro o de una película, una lista de lo que os gusta, por ejemplo : "Me gusta : el color negro , la música clásica , la tortilla de patatas ...".Sé que es un esfuerzo y espero que todos salgamos beneficiados. Are you a member of many survey and opinion sites ? Do you make your spare cash by spending hours slogging away on the computer checking boxes in response to survey invitations from different research companies ? How much do you earn and how many different market research companies are you signed up to ? Do you just enjoy giving your opinion or is your participation reward fuelled ? Are you more likely to participate in a survey if it is a cash reward rather than a prize draw ? I am a member of many research sites, I earn around £30 each month which comes in various forms such as vouchers, points to swap for goods and good old cash. Its difficult to pick out the sites worth signing up for frm the ones which earn you very little for a lot of work - personally I use the review site Dooyoo to see what others think of sites and assess my chances of earning some good rewards - in fact Dooyoo is another place which I earn money from because I then review the survey sites to earn points and swap for cash or vouchers ! I rarely participate in surveys which are for prize draws, whilst I like giving my opinions I like to recieve a reward or product for my help ater all the research companies are getting paid and if I am doin lots I work I want something too. I'm really interested to hear how others honestly feel !

Some of them seem to be a waste of time as you constantly get sent endless survey requests only to start filling them out and not to be elligible. There are also too many survey sights with high payout thresholds of £25, this takes a lot of surveys and I always wonder if I am near £25 will they just not send me any more surveys so they do not have to pay me? Maybe I am just cynical. I am fairly mounting up the points here on Toluna though so I am hoping that this is going to be one of my favourite sites to try and earn vouchers on.

Hola amigos!! ya sé que es frecuente que haya que enviar una opinión unas cuantas veces hasta que se envia correctamente, pero hoy no hay manera de hacerlo: llevo un rato intentando responder a otras personas y por mucho que envie mis opiniones, no se graba ni una sola (y eso que he llegado a intentarlo hasta 20 veces reiniciando la página incluso). Os pregunto porque no sé si es fallo de mi PC o si os pasa a todos porque hoy funciona especialmente mal la página. Gracias!!

en ce qui me concerne cela fait quelques mois que je me suis remise sérieusement au boulot : du coup je suis très proche des 80 000 lunies alors je prendrai un chèque kadéos de 20 Euros. Et puis il faudra recommencer encore !!! mais bon, quand j'aurai mon chèque j'aurai oublié le temps passé sur l'ordi !!!

The last day or two each time I've tried logging in with Explorer it has refused.(I prefer it when I'm visiting certain sites security wise) Yet as soon as I try google, I'm straight in. Makes me even more suspicious about the intention of sharing of information. Try it & see.

I log in via Internet Explorer and have had no problems whatsoever, - I log in via Internet Explorer and have had no problems whatsoever, have you checked your cookies to see if its something to do with those. Other than that I suspect you should probably ring your internet service provider and see if they can give you some suggestions about where the problem may lie as I haven't experienced this at all which implies that it may be in your settings somewhere. Sorry I can't be more of a help, also might be worthwhile seeing if your computer is caching page information and trying to access old pages and hiccuping - not sure if this could be the problem or not.

Today I discovered a topic intended for me from Lisabj57 which she had posted a couple of weeks ago and I hadn't seen. I have had occasion to post topics aimed at individual members and unless they respond I am never sure if they have seen or read them. I think Toluna would really benefit from a Private Message system (like they have on forums) so that we can contact each other individually. Obviously there could be some downfalls to this idea especially the risk of abusive messages (but these could be reported) but it would be good to have the option there to use when we feel the need. What do you think? Would you like the ability to send PMs to each other? Hope you all had a good weekend! Nicole x

There are also been repeated requests for a proper forum on the side, somewhere where members can chat, and importantly reply to people as often as they like, and although there is a forum in Beta Testing mode (I have been privileged to see it) it has so far not gone live.
