I think making your own bread really is just not worth the effort...
I have tried breadmakers; dried yeast; fresh yeast; different varieties of flour; packet mixes; seeds; fruits; you name it - I've given it a go...then it's gone in the bin!!!
Whilst I quite enjoy the kneading (very therapeutic - gets rid of all that pent up aggression) and I love the smell - I think the whole process is a complete waste of time and mine always ends up FUBAR (that roughly translates as "bin fodder" for the more sensitive amongst us). I can never get it to rise so it's often quite stodgy and totally inedible once it's cooled down. Even the birds give our garden a wide berth- I'd probably get reported to the RSPB if the little tweeters did eat it 'cos they'd certainly never get airborne again... it's messy, time consuming and very demoralizing!!!! Thank goodness there is always Tesco...
Anyone else have bread-making nightmares or are you all annoyingly adept at this skill????

The advert just came on saying its starting in stores from 24th march. I won an apple pie two years ago which would have been great except i dont like apple pies. So i gave it to a homeless person on the way home :) But anyway, what have you ever won? Anything Big Time?

I love it. I have to have it without milk too. My mates all think I'm weird. I have to but normal teabags and milk just so they've got something to drink when they come over.

I know it sounds a bit morbid but I have watched films where people are on death row and they get to choose their last meal. This would be a tough one for me. I think it would have to have gravy and mash potato somewhere. Comfort food. So I think mine might be cottage pie. Or may be chinese, crispy chilli beef and extra hot singapore noodles, How about you guys ?
