Yes another question about eating animals. It’s not like it's a big passion for me to eat every animal I can find, I am just curious, and the different points raised each time make me wonder about other animals. Personally duck is one of my favourite meats; it’s absolutely delicious with a little bit of salt. But there is also a small story I would like to share. I used to be waitress, and on a Sunday we would serve a traditional roast. Someone who had not booked asked if they could order one. We said duck was the only choice, and the look on their face was quite amusing. He seemed totally astonished that we were serving duck. He even asked if it was normal for people to eat it. We then mentioned crispy duck being on Chinese menus; his expression then changed to one of embarrassment, as he realised that it was both a popular dish, and one he had eaten. Suddenly rather than being appalled, he was happy to order. That seemed so strange to me, and it's why i am curious to hear what you have to say.

Mishappen fruit and veg are back on our shelves! This means that producers will not have to get rid of 20% of their crop because shops will not sell them due to a European law. As of today, this has now changed and the knobbly carrots and curly cucumber should make their way back to our supermarkets and shops. I will definitely be buying some!

Should it be classed as a dangerous task? in this day and age surely they can all be modernised and made safe to open! I usually use the hands free tin opener on them at both ends and push the meat through but hubby put life and limb at stake trying to use the key.(He is on Warfarin and my heart was in my mouth when I caught him trying to open the tin.) How do you open the darned tins?
