Do you buy bottled water? Are you a person that thinks that the freshness and the natural water filtering way through the landscape gives you a better quality of water than even tap water? Do you pay a lot or so no and stick to tap water? Do you believe that those who pay for bottled water are paying for stuff that comes out of the tap and is just as good as tap water? Do you think that bottling water is just environmentally wasteful as it adds more plastic bottles, petrol to transport it all and you can get tap water which you probably pay for anyway? Have I got your attention? Well, tell me what you think about this subject?

I contacted Toluna because my voucher ordered 25th of April hadn't turned up and others who ordered around the same time had received theirs. Here is the response I got from toluna - cut from their emaiil

"We have now sent all Amazon vouchers up to the 25th of April. As
>your was ordered on the 29th, I can assure you it will be sent with
>the next batch. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience
>caused and thank you for your patience.
>
>I hope you are still enjoying your time on the site and that you
>receive your voucher soon."

So that means that it is going to be around 6-8 weeks for me to receive a voucher and the same for anyone else who ordered their voucher after the 25th of April - is this acceptable?

Personally I think its disgusting and another insult to injury, so when they tell you to allow 3-4 weeks please translate this to 6-8 weeks!

What do you think?

All survey sites work differently. Toluna is international and 'red tape' or in this case, their business practices means you have to wait.

This is of course frustrating, especially when you first get your first voucher you send off for, but lets face it, once you have done so a few times, just wait for it and make a note of when you ordered it. Yes, a good time for processing requested vouchers of a week or two is more acceptable, but until Toluna can and does change this, a 6 - 8 week wait will continue.

Before you say I have a lot of patience or I don't even know what I am talking about, I have ordered a lot of vouchers (Sainsbury's) from Toluna and my last was an Amazon (so a code). Many other places awarded Amazon electronic vouchers instantly or very quickly now. I had to wait for mine for 6 weeks!!!!

Just be patient and don't be in a rush to receive any voucher from Toluna, perhaps fills in my polls instead, I have 718 at present. By the time you finish voting on them (that are open) perhaps you will forget you voucher and it will suddenly pop through the letterbox.

This has been going on for a good few years now. Sizes have gotten smaller and packaging bigger. Okay, you may or not agree with me, but then why is packaging so big for such little content inside. An example is crisps (certain types of chips you might call them say in the USA), you may argue the weight on the packet is still the same but who remembers the original weight they were sold under twenty or even ten years ago? All right, try items with no weight. Cadbury’s crème eggs are an example, my hands haven’t grown for quite a few years now and they seem to have shrunk in size. Every ounce and gram of confectionery that a sweet company saves eventually makes another sweet they can sell. So I agree we are paying more for less. Always go for the deals, two for one or special offers. If you are lucky and can buy wholesale then it’s even cheaper. It's not only the confectionery market this is limited either, where things are made smaller and sold to people, the most shocking is a new street of houses that were built smaller but several inches each house, so that one or two new houses could be built at the end of the street. You should have seen people who had moved in trying to move furniture up the narrower stairs. At least confectionery is a luxury, but we sure do pay for it in both money and on the hips. ;-)

How many of you remember his phrase about pictures (photographs). But have you noticed in the last 10 years or so, no one says it any more. If you have at all or even if you haven’t, can you guess why? I thought about it and watched all the glossy magazines and how they touch up and airbrush the pictures of models on the cover of their magazines, because nobody looks that perfect in reality, not without make-up, surgery or something else. But the reason most likely that this phrase is not used any more is because this professional tool used by industries like fashion, printing, television, etc. can now be sound in anyone’s home in the guise of a good photo editor, from PsP to Corel Draw to many more applications out there. And if you have ever morphed things or made funny pictures, you will know exactly how, and if you have ever watched the news where a company or even council/government figure (in one case) air brushed things in, which caused a scandal and even mild outrage, then yes pictures now indeed - can LIE! What do you think?

waddieOpinion by waddie
Toluna is international and so you will get variations on a language. If an American writes it their way, you are going to write it your way. Lol you should check your title as well, I am sure you meant to say 'center' and not centre twice. This is a minor problem and its not worth worrying about. I get my vouchers from France lol, so its truly international. Best to write in Word to check your spelling first, then transfer here and things will improve.

what type of chocolate do you think is best milk or plain

waddieOpinion by waddie
Well, if you are asking my opinion on this one then its milk chocolate. But do not discount plain chocolate either. You can get very rich and tasty plain chocolate like Bourneville and milk chocolate from Dairy Milk is equally as good. Quality is essential, as some cheaper varieties can’t taste pretty awful.

About a 10 years ago or so, with the EU (chocolate manufacturers on the continent) wanting to rename out beloved milk chocolate as not ‘real’ chocolate as it did not have a certain amount of cocoa in it, a news crew took samples of chocolate to Europe and testing on people on the street asked them what tasted better. The British milk chocolate won hands down. Our chocolate has been saved.

On a medical note, if you have lactose or a dairy intolerance then milk chocolate can go right through you system. Plain seems not to have this effect, so plain wins out here. But I do like the taste of milk chocolate better (unless it higher quality plain which can be good on cakes as well).

What the heck! I’ll take the lot. Well it’s chocolate and chocolate is the most addictive, legal substance on the planet!
