Why is it that men feel the need to have remote controls for everything? You go to turn the tele on and have pot luck guess as to which one it is? They have one for the tele, one for the cd player, one for the dvd player, its madness, and then when you think you have sussed it they go out and buy a universal one and that either doesnt work or you are switching everything else on! Wouldnt life be bliss if men came with a remote control so that you can turn them on and off!

I'm 18 years old, female and guilty of mass remoteness. I like to have all four (TV, DVD, VCR and digibox) at my end of the sofa, thankyou very much. This is partly to stop my Dad channel hopping, but it's a power thing. I'm the one in our house who gets technology, who spends most time in the living room, and it's my domain. A few months ago, I never came in here, so Dad got the remotes. Now I'm in here most I have them, and everyone else gets confused by my settings. It's a way of marking territory
