Do you keep a diary? I used to keep a diary all the way through my childhood upto about twelve months after having my third child, and then quite understandably I stopped because when all said and done three boys are hard work, but I am still very disappointed that I did not carry on chronicling the rest of my life. I really do find interesting looking through the diaries of my childhood and the first few years of my childrens life in fact about the first half of my life, and just wish I had the same information about the second half.

in this "p.c" gone mad world we are no longer able to smack our own children if the have misbehaved. well i smack my daughter if she has been naughter and i see no other alternative to make her see that she has done wrong. smacking never harmed me as a child and i use it a last resort, but now with takeing political correctness to new rediculous levels, i am in the eyes of law abusing my child by giving her a tap on the hand or on the bottem. where does it all end?

Since the birth of my first child I have made more of an effort to buy organic, thinking that it's the best thing for my family. I get my veg delivered from a local organic farm and do my best to cook from scratch wherever possible. However, it's hugely more expensive, particularly buying organic meat, and there is no way I can afford to feed the family an all organic diet, however much I would like to. So my kitchen cupboards are an odd assortment of 'tesco-value' and fresh organic food. I would love to be able to afford to buy organic all the time and hate the idea of my food being processed and covered in chemicals, but the cost of organic food is prohibitive and I am forced to make compromises to afford the food we need.
