Being a huge sex in the city fan, i went too see the film on wednesday and i can honestly say i loved it! It exceeded my expectations by far. I loved all the outfits in the film, looking great as always, although they did look alot older! I've read some reviews on the film, and saw they were mixed, alot of people were expecting to much i think! The film was abit long, 2 hrs 30 minutes but i felt they used the time well and i never got bored and was kept excited right through to the end! So for those of you that have been to see this great film, what did you think?
Saw the Movie Last Night: Thought It was fantastic! First of all the intro is real quirky, then all the surprises happen! so much drama! My favourite scene would have to be the restaurant scene- dont want to give away to much, but it really is hilarious. As for shockers, phew! Me, 3 girl mates and 2 guy mates went and we all thorughly enjoyed it, apart from one of the guys was a bit apprehensive! The fashion is incredible! Espeically Carrie and Samantha. The acting is great, especially from the wonderful Samantha- she is incredibly entertaining! The audience were cheering at the end in our cinema for the big moment and it was fab! Just one thing, the audience was packed with girls and boys, however the boys seemed a little less enthusiastic! Its a real 'girly' film which really focuses on fashion and love but my guy mates enjoyed it!Well, one of them did! Go See This Film! Great for a laugh or a girl's night out!=)
What has got me thinking on this subject is that a few days ago it was the anniversary of the university virginia tech shooting where many students lost there lifes. According to reports the students that are there now would like to be able to carry guns around with them for personal safety reasons, of course the uni isn't agreeing with this and are saying they should be cracking down on removing guns completely and not bringing in more. Now whilst i think it is a very bad idea as it could just add to the problem, i also believe had that student that shot those other students had known everyone else was armed it might not have got as far as it did, he even if he wasn't put off by them having guns, somebody could still have stopped him from killing more. This is also what some parts of the uni are saying, because a person who worked for the uni tried to stop the guy but he just ended up being shot but had he have been armed we might have had a different situation on hand. There is one uni in the whole of the USA in Utah that allows students to carry weapons and so far this has worked for them and has made the faculty team feel alot more safer knowning they can teach without a student flipping out and being violent. So my question is how do you all feel about this?
I think it is stupid idea to have students allowed to carry guns simply from the whole philosophy that where there is a gun there is a risk someone will get shot. The guards and security should definitely have sidearms but I don't think the students should. Isn't it really just the tail end of the whole bullying thing. They start out by punching so everyone learns how to defend themselves, then 1 brings a knife to school so they all start bringing knives for protection, then one brings a gun to school and the others have to bring them for protection. There have been too many situations where guns in schools have badly - I realise that there haven't been that many but its still too many. Then again if I went to school where everyone else had a gun I think I would probably have one so that I wasn't at the bottom of the foodchain.
Shannon Matthews mum has been arrested in a new shocking twist in the case. Shes been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. I can quite believe this and i think what they have done is set this all up for the money and attention. Its disgusting if this is true, it just proves what people have thought about them all along and have done nothing to try and make people think differently. It is starting to show that maybe the whole family were in on this and no one is as innocent as they are making out. They obviously saw the maddie mcann case and saw this as an oppotunity to make some money except now it has backfired and its all coming out now.
