The coach of L’equipe de France Raymond Domenech , proved once again that he is not fit to lead a big team to the quarter-finals let alone semi-finals or the final of an international tournament. He also proved that if it wasn’t for Zidane the French team would have never reached the finals in 2006. Last June 13th, after the shameful performance of “les bleus” he was supposed to have well-prepared for the Euro 2008 (they lost against Holland by 4-1 ), all Domenech had to say was that he had only one project: that of marrying his girlfriend and the mother of his two babies Estelle Denis. Instead of saying how sorry he was that his tactics turned out to be catastrophic, he told the fans of the “blue” team who were probably crying with frustration that he the 52 years old man was in love with Estelle (24 years his junior). How disgusting! And to add insult to injury, he didn’t want to have some dignity and resign. Thus hoping to pocket the money the termination of the contract he signed till 2010 would yield him. Yuck!
After long hours of dusting and vacuuming, I lay on the sofa to relax and enjoy the well-being sensation that only a clean well- kept house could provide. But unfortunately all I could feel was a big disappointment and frustration at the sight of my less than perfect laminate wood floor. In spite of my big effort; the stains it was covered with were still there and looked quite indelible. Though I felt helpless, I knew that there must be a way to clean my floor without damaging it (by using much water or chemicals). I made searches on the Internet and read people’s opinions and reviews in forums then came to the conclusion that only one thing could knock loose those stubborn stains and it is called : a STEAM MOP. I browsed the net once again hoping to find a good quality steam mop that would not be beyond my means but soon got disappointed. No steam mop was affordable as far as I was concerned. When my hope began to wane seriously, an idea crossed my mind: “What if I bought a second-hand mop on e-bay?” In fact, many steam mops were for sale on e-bay. Some of them were new others used. While I was browsing the listed items, a bright red one caught my attention. Not only the colour was appealing but the price as well and what’s more it was brand new! It had two options a “buy it now” (for less than £30) or “auction” (starting bid:£ 0.99). I decided to make bids and finally won the item.
Less than a week later, I received the mop in a nice packaging. I couldn’t wait to try it, so I assembled it without needing to refer to the instruction book. The whole thing was so easy! When I was done, I felt over the moon . The mop was exactly as I wished it to be: Perfect! 30 seconds after I plugged it, the red light on the body turned green which meant it was ready to operate. I started cleaning the floor with my new mop, and I soon noticed that thanks to the heat it emitted (130° C) no stain or dirt could resist it. It removed all surface impurities leaving it shiny, clean and sterilised. It was magic!
By buying this wonderful appliance, I made an excellent bargain. Even my husband took his hat off to me, or was it to the steam mop?
