I live in Yorkshire, but my partner comes from Norfolk, and apparently down there its Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner...what? I get so confused when I talk to him about making dinner, as he always thinks i'm talking about tea. He doesnt even know what a Bap is!

So what is it for you?

I too am originally from Essex and was brought up by working class parents but we had lunch (i.e. a sandwich) at lunch time and dinner (i.e. meat and 2 veg) at dinner time, except on Sunday's when we'd have 'Sunday Lunch' (meat and 2 veg) at lunch time and then tea (usually toast or crumpets or cheese and biscuits) at dinner time. I was a very confused child.

Dinner or Tea? If its dinner, then either soup or a sandwich, if its tea, make some spagetti bolognase. I made some last night and it was awesome. Its really tasty if you fry the mince in cajun spices and garlic first, and then add the sauce. mmmm

Do any of you carnivores enjoy preparing and eating Liver? Personally i enjoy it now and again (when cooked well), but I was teaching my students yesterday and only 2 had ever eaten it at home! I made some Liver Burgers when they started the course, not telling them what it was until they had eaten them though! I had a large pice of calves liver, and three of the girls refused to touch it - and they want a career in cooking! It was prepared eventually though - sliced very thinly, and fried in butter with garlic, shallots, and white wine - Venetian style! out of 7 students I had 2 'refuseniks' and 1 that tasted it but did not like it!
