i have been on this site a few months now and just wanted to know what the point to it is - i thought it was aplace to express yor opinion not to be judged? a number of times i have felt judged for my opinions belifes and values. why do people feel the need to do this to others if somebody asks for an opinion thats what they should get not to be told that they are wrong for what they belive? i have read many opinions and replys and think thank god it wasnt my opinion u were all juding because some of the replys were queite hurtfull.

I think the big problem is that as everyone else has said what you type is does not necessarily care the intent and intonation that you would deliver if saying your point in person and unfortunately once you have pushed the submit button you cannot go back and clarify what you meant or how you meant it is just there and thats it. I think also that sometimes (sometimes) people read someone who disagrees with them as judging them. Some opinion topics are posted in a very upfront this is my view and I mean it way and when people respond in the same way everyone takes each other the wrong way and get off side. Straight out judging someone is not particularly fair but then again it is human nature.

after seeing that nearly all my opinions on the way i treat my children rated unsefull i just wanted to say who has the right to say that. i work a full time job as does my husband we work in order to provide for our family. yes maybe i do spend to much money on them but why shpoudnt we? and to the one who left an opinion stating that parents only spend money on material things to make up for a lack ov parenting what utter rubbish i spend all my time with my children apart from when im working that is i spend money on them to ensure they have a,ll the nice things they want. my children respect and valu money and the things they have. they never ever have tantrums and are polite to everyone and always use there manners especaily in public. no they arent angels but certainly arent spoilt. why cant a person spend money on there children with out people saying they spoil there children? why judge people on how they raise there childrenif they arent hurting any one else why should it matter?

If your children behave as well as you say, then congratulations, you are doing a good job. But I for one disagree with spending as much money on presents for children as you say you do - not just for birthdays and Xmas, but you have said yourself that you buy them a lot in between, often on a weekly basis. If you say it here, you have to be able to take the reaction you get, and people WILL disagree sometimes, doesnt mean they are judging you when they say that love and attention are more important than gifts ( they are not stating YOU dont give your kids enough love and attention, as they dont know if this is the case or not.). I am not jealous of you, I just think many believe that even if the money is there to spend, presents should be given with more caution and less often, in order that children grow up appreciating gifts and knowing the value of things. You are the one making the big deal about the subject as you have brought it up three or four times now.

Firstly thankyou to all who replyed to my last opinion(have i wasted my life). I think i may have not have used the right wording for what i was trying to say so here goes : i DONT think i have wasted my life in fact i am very proud of what i have achieved in my life so have and wouldnt change a thing! what i was trying to say is why do people feel the need to say that teenage parents waste there life are bad parents no hopers ect? because although some people grow up with no expectations for there life and have children so they can stay home and claim benefit they are many who dont i neva wanted children young but it happened and im so glad it did! what im trying to say is please dont stereo type all young teenage parents because they arent all bad!!! i get so annoyed when people say i have missed so much coz what have i missed -- going out with friends getting drunk taking drugs mayb? the life i have is the life i love.
