I couldn’t believe the story a friend forward to me today. It was the sad story of a poor woman who asked crematorium officials for an extra ten minutes to say goodbye to her five week old child that was being cremated. She sat weeping by the coffin for an extra ten minutes telling her baby how much they all loved him and not to be scared. She was then fined £8.60 a minute for the privilege a total of £86 the council has now refunded the charge; because of "extenuating circumstances" is it just me who found this story unbelievable. I understand that time tables have to be kept to but surely no one could begrudge this mother an extra ten minutes with her dead child. I couldn’t for a second imagine a grieving family fining the undertakers if they were ten minutes late for the funeral. What do you think?

Unbelievable, she must have been beside herself, an unimaginable situation, very thoughtless actions to fine her.

looking at clivers topic on hotpoint made me think about other companies with consistently bad service records. For me it was the AA insurance company who took ages to settle my claim for water damage following a hole in my roof only to ignore the quotes they'd asked me to get from repuable workmen and employ bodgit builders to do the work on the cheap. Boo.
