I think instead of a complete ban that controlled ventalated areas should be introduced to bars, airports etc so that everyone is happy.

Hi Dutchy, welcome to Toluna. There are already places at airports where you can smoke (very necessary I would imagine. I've never smoked, but can imagine that, since you can't smoke on the plane, you might need a ciggie before you board.) Pubs do have ventilated smoking areas - the trouble is, I think they might be a bit too well ventilated for most people! I would agree with a well-ventilated smoking room in some or most pubs - but not sure how this fits with health and safety laws for the staff.

i am thinking about going back to work my youngest is 22 months..

six months was when we returned to work. twins on the way so will probably be a little longer due to the workload that will be involved. employers are great though and understand completely. thank god for that as the money will come in handy

I loved the cartoons (mysterious cities of Gold - fab theme tune), Danger mouse, Mary, Mungo and Midge etc but my favourites had to be either: The Clangers, The Flumps or Bagpuss. Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley came a close second.

The classics of jamie and the magic torch, chorlton and the wheelies and i agree with the dangermouse but what about thundercats and mysterious cities of goldshould be on in the evening on a purely retro cartoon channel without commercials and like mtv where you can vote for your viewing choices and roll on rainbow fans although i think that bungle should be made to dress this time around
