Can you remember the first mobile phone you owned? Mine was a Philips Savy and I remember being really suited with it even though looking back now it seems really old fashioned but it was probably only about twelve years ago. It was about the size of half a pound block of butter but even then the reception I used to get on it was superb. I do remember the freedom I felt with my phone the first time I used it and I still feel that freedom with the slimline phone I own today.

£500 isn't exactly a life changing amount of money, but it will buy some useful things. Probably I would go for a new hi-fi system as mine isn't working so well now (I think I've worn it out!) I've been looking around at different systems and discovered that the trend is becoming to get one with a hard drive so you can save all your CDs on the hard drive and select your own play list. I don't think I'll get one of those for £500 - but I probably will if I wait a while! What would you really like to have for around £500?

I have a debilertating illness, I'm unable to work and struggle through each day, I haven't got a partner to help me, I recieve income support and am told that is the amount I need to live on, I also get dla I have to pay all untility bills, food, cleaning products, it is very hard trying to live on this amount yet everything is going up in price we hear about it on the news, how am I supposed to live without an increase the same as inflation, the only thing I can do is cut back even more.
I don't think this is fair, I can't go out and earn money or get any more money.
