Funny film, good soundtrack, good cast. The plot is nothing unexpected and hardly nail biting but it was a perfectly pleasant film. Rupert Everett is great as the headmistress, Ms Fritton, and as her borther. Obviously some of the cast do look a little old for school girls but that can be forgiven. Russell Brand was also considerably better than expected as his role as the flash (who knew he could act).
If you do go and watch this stay till the credits and listen to the duet at the end by Rupert Everett and Colin Firth, it is really funny. The music in the film is good, i will definitely be buying the soundtrack.

I am currently reading Cecila Ahern's "A Place Called Here". It is proving to be a wonderful book and very well written. I can not put it down. As per usual with any good book it is currently making its way around the office and has received nothing but praise. The main character, Sandy Shortt, is well thought through and has real depth. In many ways this book has a fairytale element to it. I would most definitely recommend it to you!

Peter Grant’s new album, Traditional, is superb. For me he has now surpassed the others in the genre such as Michael Buble and Jamie Cullum (though I will remain a fan of their music also). The title track takes you right back to the days of trad jazz and his music is original and fresh. I also love his cover of Happy together as featured on the twix advert. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! A definite buy for jazz fans if you ask me!
