Though we have heard all about how the credit crunch is effecting bussiness, property and people triing to get a mortgage I haven't heard anything about student loans.
As banks tighten their belts as lenders has this had any effected on students and their ability to get a loan to continue the courses required for the degree or diploma?
Should there be any effect on them receiving their student loans or not? What do you think.

To the best of my knowledge Student Loans are provided by the SLC and are a govenment body so there is no way that they can be affected. The government controls these loans.

Students are completely seperate from regular loans and are available at lower rates. the government is allowed to change interest rates as they see fit (i.e. like they doubled from 2.4. to 4.8 without actually informing anyone)

Do you carry an organ donor Card? I have filled in the back of my driving licence for organ donation and also carry a card as well, for I would much sooner my organs were used for somebody else when they are no longer required by myself? I think it would be much simpler if everybody donated their organs unless they carried an opt out card as this would make it a lot simpler for doctors when the donor died, than having to obtain consent from the dead persons relative if a donation card was not found.

This series has become a joke as far as though who are taking part are concerned. Original joe public and now its a mixture of odd balls and over the top personalities. Though they are still making money from it the producers and channel four its viewing figures have began to wane. But they still keep insisting it has its place on TV. The producers are desperate to get viewers and to what lengths will they go to get people to watch. Do they let it go over the top like in the celebraty edition and re-act too late when the damage is done? Who knows and how many actually care? Its had its time and now they should move on to something else.
